FAQ
Q: How long does it take to build a house?
A: Depending on the time of year, size, and type of construction, usually 7-12 months.
Q: How much will it cost per square foot?
A: The per square foot cost of a home is very deceiving. Cost is determined by site evaluation, style, type of construction, features, amenities, and personal taste. A builder that tells someone a square foot cost without a proper evaluation is just guestimating. In today's market, the cost excluding land will vary from $125 to $175 a square foot on average.
Q: How soon can you start?
A: If contracts are signed and plans are complete, we can usually begin construction within 30 days.
Q: Do I need to buy my plans?
A: No, this is one option. Many clients bring designs from magazines or the internet. Some choose from one of our many house plans which can be modified to meet your needs.
Q: Can you build a house for me if I already have my land?
A: If a client already has a home site, it expedites the process. We can also evaluate a potential site for buyers or may have one available in current inventory.
Q: How do I finance the construction project?
A: The most common way is through a construction loan. If you are not already working with a bank or lending agency, we would be glad to recommend several that specialize in these loans.
Q: How do I go about designing or doing a renovation?
A: The first step would be an on site meeting to hear your ideas, needs, visions, and/or budget constraints to determine the scope benefits and viability of a project.
Q: Do we need to move out of our home while its being renovated?
A: This all depends on the depth and scope of the project. We try to not displace our clients but look at all the avenues to best accommodate them during this process.
